Successful trial: Matthew Elsdon in action for Barrow AFC against Carlisle United on Tuesday MILTON HAWORTH
BARROW AFC have completed a third signing in the space of a week, landing former Middlesbrough central defender Matthew Elsdon.
The 21-year-old, from Durham, featured for Barrow in the centre of defence in their pre-season game against Carlisle United on Tuesday.
Elsdon spent time in the youth ranks at both Sunderland and Middlesbrough, and went out on loan to Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle at the start of last season.
The towering defender has signed a two-year deal at Holker Street.
