BARROW Raiders have landed Wigan Warriors forward Finley Beardsworth on a short-term loan.
The news comes after Raiders discovered that Charlie Emslie will be out for up to three months.
Beardsworth featured in the Warriors Reserves’ 2023 Grand Final victory over St Helens at Robin Park Arena, and had a spell on loan at Midlands Hurricanes last season.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Raiders head coach Paul Crarey said: “Following the unfortunate news that Charlie will be out for possibly up to three months, it is great news that Wigan have trusted us with yet another of their rising stars.
“Finley is a tough-tackling second row who also scores his fair share of tries. He will be in contention for a place on Sunday.”
Director of rugby Andy Gaffney said: “I’d like to thank Wigan for allowing Finley to link up with the club and help out with numbers.
“He is a promising young player and we look forward to seeing him in Raiders colours.”
