FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a building fire in Great Urswick tonight.
Crews were called to the scene, near to St Mary and St Michael's Church, at around 6.15pm and managed to bring the fire under control.
The road through the village was temporarily closed while fire engines were at the scene.
The fire has been described as a domestic electrical fire and police said they were notified about the incident at 6.20pm.
The Barrow, Ulverston and Walney fire crews were called to the scene.
The fire started in the utility room of a property and firefighters worked to stop it from spreading to the rest of the house.
