A BODY has been found by a group of walkers at the side of a woodland path.
Police are investigating the unexplained death of a man officers described as elderly, of at least 60 years old, whose body was discovered at around 11.20am today (Sunday April 2) in woodland between Finsthwaite and Newby Bridge.
Detective Sergeant Mike Wallace, of Cumbria Constabulary, confirmed that police and paramedics were investigating at the scene and that the man's death was being treated as unexplained.
The county’s police officers have begun working with their colleagues from other constabularies in an effort to identify the man.
