Trains between Barrow and Ulverston are expected to return to normal tomorrow morning (Friday November 17), according to the National Rail website.
Earlier today (Thursday November 16), all trains were cancelled after a body was found near Barrow train station.
A replacement bus service ran between the two stations, with services further along the line to Lancaster, Preston and Manchester Airport starting from Ulverston.
The route between Barrow and Carlisle, passing through Millom and Sellafield, was not affected by the closure.
In the "Cleared Disruptions" section of its website, National Rail said: "Trains are now able to run normally between Barrow-in-Furness and Lancaster, following emergency services dealing with an incident between these stations."
So far, services due to run starting 4.51am onwards are marked on the schedule as running on time.
Meanwhile, police investigations continue into the related incident.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "The body of a man has been recovered from the side of the train lines near to Greengate Street bridge in Barrow.
"He has not yet been formally identified.
The cause of death is currently being treated as unexplained."
The discovery resulted in a large, widespread police presence, along with Network Rail officers, paramedics and fire crews.
