A BARROW man pleaded for help when he appeared in court in relation to an incident of domestic violence.
Sean Lancaster, of Rawlinson Street, Barrow appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court on November 3 to appeal against an application for a domestic violence protection order sought by the police.
In a tearful address to the court, the 31-year-old said: "We have a few issues, but please don't punish us, help us.
"Help us to get the help we need."
Officers were called out to an address in Rawlinson Street on November 1 after reports of an incident of domestic violence at around 7pm.
Lancaster denied any wrongdoing and Michael Graham, defending, said that the allegations "had no foundations".
The court issued a domestic violence order for 28 days.
