A HUGE military plane was seen flying low over Barrow today.
The Lockheed C-130 Hercules, a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft, flew over the town this lunchtime and is understood to have been carrying out landing exercises at Walney Airfield.
Les Douglas captured a dramatic shot of the plane as it flew low above the Barrow landscape.
Another member of The Beauty of Barrow and Furness Facebook group said: "Hercules transport. I watched it from the golf links. They sometimes use the airfield to do dummy landing and take off ops which it did today."
