DOGS of all shapes and sizes had their day at a busy show.
Children and adults took their canine friends along to Ulverston and District Equine Club's fun dog show on bank holiday Monday.
Walney Community Centre was packed with pooches as there were more than 160 entries.
There were classes for best pedigree, best mixed breed, prettiest bitch, most handsome dog, puppy under one year, rescue dog, junior handler, brace of dogs, veteran, dog most like owner, best trick, waggiest tail and fancy dress. The judge was Maria Murray, who runs Murray's Dog Hotel at Gleaston.
Freya, a three-year-old rehomed Alaskan Malamute, who had been at Walney Kennels, was the overall champion. She was adopted three weeks ago by Leanne Wright, of Dalton, through Animal Welfare Furness. Freya won the show's Oscar and Dante Memorial Cup.
Reserve champion was 17-week-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy, Alfie, owned by Callum Lucas, of Barrow.
Organiser Paulyn Whetstone, of Scruffy2Fluffy pet groomers, in Newcastle Street, Barrow, said: "It was very busy and very loud, and everyone enjoyed it. All the kids get a rosette for taking part."
The show thanked Leonard Cheshire for the use of the the hall and gave a donation to them, they also thanked Mrs Murray and all those who helped and took part.
