FANCY footwork was on display at the opening of Barrow’s new state-of-the-art dance studios.
Performers showed off some spectacular moves at the official opening of Deemon Dance Studios, on Saturday.
Around 300 people attended the ceremony and watched demonstrations at the studios above County Coachbuilders, on Park Road.
Owner Emma Fawcett cut the ribbon to mark the launch of the facilities, which include three dance studios, a music studio and a dance wear shop.
Dancers will be tutored in the art of variety of dances in the mirrored studios.
There will be salsa and Latin, jazz, aero dance, hip hop and even toddler dance among the classes, from Monday to Friday.
The children from Deemon Performance Academy, who demonstrated their skills at the opening event, are taught in the studios on Saturday mornings.
The dance studios will host ballet and stage tap classes on Sundays.
The public are also able to hire the facilities.
Mrs Fawcett said: “The opening was phenomenal, we are still coming down from it.
“The feedback we have had has been overwhelming, people can not believe the standard of the facilities.”
