A men's choir group in Barrow-in-Furness is inviting men who are interested in singing to join their rehearsal at the Nan Tait Centre.
Barrow Male Voice Choir is hosting a "Taster Evening" on September 9 at 7.30pm at the centre in Abbey Road.
The taster evening is aimed at encouraging men of all ages and abilities to try out singing with one of Barrow's most popular and long-established choirs.
Deborah Milledge, the musical director, will begin the evening with basic vocal techniques.
The gathering is designed to encourage newcomers by demonstrating how harmonies are created to produce the unique sound that a Male Voice Choir delivers.
Currently, the choir has a membership of around 30.
The choir plans to participate in choral competitions next year.
While looking to increase their numbers, the choir emphasises that there is no obligation to become a member.
New choir members would not need to audition, but they would need to attend rehearsals until they felt confident with the music.
Entrance to the rehearsal room is via the car park, accessed through Collingwood Street.
For more information, choir chairman Phil Lister and secretary Pete Kelly can be contacted at 01229 468753 or 01229 869827 respectively.
The group recently performed their annual concert at the Baptist Church in Barrow and Coniston Methodist Church in a concert which raised funds for St Mary’s Hospice.
