A new plaque will be unveiled this weekend at Millom Cenotaph to honour servicemen and women.
The service will take place on Saturday, February 24 from 11am, with the plaque commemorating all those who have fallen in conflicts across the globe since 1945.
The event has been organised by Millom Town Council and the Royal British Legion, who have worked in partnership to create the plaque.
The standard march will start at the clocktower at 10:30am, with the procession making their way to the cenotaph.
An opening speech and dedication will precede the unveiling of the new commemoration, before performances of the Last Post and Reveille, and a laying of poppy wreaths.
The Mayor of Millom Simone Faulkner will finish the event with a closing speech, addressing those in attendance and explaining the significance of the plaque.
