A road in Ulverston has been closed after a vehicle fire caused damage to the route.
Traffic on Mountbarrow Road between Red Lane and White Ghyll Lane was reportedly disrupted on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident was reported by Cumbria Police at 1:52pm, with the disruption impacting the area of Birkrigg near Ulverston.
At the time of writing, the road is awaiting assessment and potentially repair after the vehicle which caught fire damaged the surface of the road.
The police are advising that commuters in the region should find an alternate route until those potential repairs can be carried out.
