A 74-YEAR-OLD man has died after a car crash in Barrow.
The man, named by his family as Jim Hogg, from Barrow had been driving in Yarlside Road in the early evening on Wednesday when his car left the road and overturned.
Police believe the 74-year-old, who was driving a Nissan Qashqai may have suffered a medical episode shortly before the collision although the circumstances and cause of his death will likely be subject to an inquest.
The Qashqai collided with two parked cars.
Paramedics, police and fire crews were called to the scene at 7.10pm on Wednesday and firefighters pulled Mr Hogg from the vehicle.
He later passed away at Furness General Hospital.
An investigation is being carried out by the Mobile Support Group and Collision Investigation Unit.
Officers urged anyone who witnessed the collision to contact PC2456 Ross White on 101.
