DISCOVERY: A body has been found in Kendal
POLICE have confirmed the identity of a body found in a South Cumbria town.
The discovery of a woman's body in Helsington, Kendal, was made by a member of the public on Friday afternoon. Police have since confirmed the woman is Joanna Dennett, who went missing from her home in Yeats Close at 11pm last Tuesday.
The force launched an appeal to help find her, with a spokesperson saying it was "out of character" for the 39-year old to disappear.
Police said there are no suspicious circumstances and the case has been handed to the coroner.
