Police are investigating the sudden death of a young boy.
A spokesman from Cumbria Police confirmed that officers were called to a house in Allerby, near Maryport, following the death of a boy under the age of 18.
He said while officers are working to establish the cause of death, it is currently being treated as "a very tragic, non suspicious death", adding: "There's nothing to suggest that [the death] is suspicious at the moment."
Police and the ambulance service are still at the property and are supporting the boy's family.
Emergency services were called at 7am this morning.
More updates will follow.
